National Archive and Records Administration
- California Archives
  - Regional Archives, Laguna Niguel
    Maintains retired records from Federal Agencies and courts in Arizona, Southern California, Clark County, Nevada. These records constitute a major resource for the study of Native American history, Naval history, westward migration, Asian immigration, civil rights and other subjects.
  - Pacific Region, Riverside
    Available for review closed business and personal bankruptcy case files, and criminal and civil case files from Federal courts in Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma, Arizona; Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Santa Ana, and Santa Barbara, California; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
  - Pacific Region, San Francisco
    Federal records from northern and central California, Nevada (except Clark County), Hawaii, American Samoa and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and constitute a major primary resource for the study of Asian-Pacific immigration, environmental, Naval, Native American, and many other aspects of American history.   - Civilian
    Houses the Official Personnel Folders (OPF) and Employee Medical Folders (EMF) of separated Federal civilian employees. CPR also houses personnel documents that date back to the mid-nineteenth century, although the bulk of the collection covers the period from 1900 to present. The medical records of military family members treated at Army, Air Force and Coast Guard medical facilities are also stored here.
  - Military
    The National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records (NPRC-MPR) is the repository of millions of military personnel, health, and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th century. (Records prior to WWI are in Washington, DC.) NPRC (MPR) also stores medical treatment records of retirees from all services, as well as records for dependent and other persons treated at naval medical facilities. If you are a veteran or next-of-kin of a deceased veteran, you may now use vetrecs.archives.gov to order a copy of your military records. For all others, your request is best made using a Standard Form 180. It includes complete instructions for preparing and submitting requests. Please Note: All requests must be in writing, signed and mailed to us at the address shown below.
