ALLISON b. 1839 Ky. from Ky to Platte county, Mo, then across the plains, meeting trouble with Indians on the Humbolt river, arriving CA. 1850. It appears Edward ALLISON, may have acquired a new wife, not James N. ALLISON'S mother, by the 1860 CA census, Jane age 33, b. Ky these children are also listed on the 1860 census, along with their place of birth; James 22, laborer, b. Ky Elizabeth 12, b. Ky. George 8, b. CA. Thos E. b. CA Lucy Jane 1, b. CA. Also listed are the employees or parties living on the Edward ALLISON property in Nevada county, Bridgeport township 1860 G.W. Shut (Sheet) 37, miner, b. NC. Matthew Hedge 21, laborer, b. IN Joseph Hedge 19, laborer, b. IN Caleb Briggs 19, Blacksmith, b. VT A.H. Middleton 25, laborer b. VT Ah See 25 Cook, b. China. What happened to Edward ALLISON, and the rest of this family? James N. ALLISON, m. Nellie Ellen WASHBURN 1866 French Corral, CA they lived until sometime in the 1870's near Marysville, CA and moved on to NV & settled in Washington Territory in 1882.
