Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - Gibson ARTHUR
Looking for information about Gibson ARTHUR who was involved in the CA
goldrush in the 1850s (probably). Gibson ARTHUR was born in Greene Co., IN
on August 17, 1825. After he discovered gold he went to Oregon and bought
land near Sublimity, OR, married Lydia LAKEY in 1865 and supposedly
returned either shortly before or after this marriage to search for more
gold. He died on his ranch near Sublimity, OR in 1912. He is my
grandfather. Any information would be welcome.
