Carl Heinrich Ludwig MEYER was born 11-May-1836 in Hamburg, Germany and is said
to have settled in California. He left Germany at least together with his
brother Johann Karl Friedrich (John Charles Frederick, later known as Fred)
MEYER who was born in Hamburg on 10-Jul-1834. They arrived in CA 1852 or one to
two years earlier. Of Fred MEYER is known, that he settled 1852 in Australia and
1862 in New Zealand and has several descendants in that area. What was the fate
of his brother, Carl Heinrich Ludwig MEYER?
