Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - DEVINE
DEVINE, John. He and another man, maybe a George or Hall started the first
toll road between Fairplay and Georgetown in the late 1850's. He returned
to Iowa in the fall of 1861 or the spring of 1862. He had been to
California before, but I have no idea where . Some say he was in the area
of "Leadville" whenthe gold was found there. (Not Colorado, but
California) Would love to hear from anyone with any information on him.
