Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - Jacob Nelson DUFF
Jacob "Nelson" DUFF, aka, Nelson DUFF and J.N. DUFF. He was born
in Washington Co. VA ca. 1807, moved with parents John DUFF and Sarah
HANES/HAYNES to Monroe Co. TN. There he married Mahala ??? ca. 1830-32.
Three known children by 1836. In 1839 Mahala dropped a divorce suit
against Nelson, no reason given. Our belief is that he went ' to CA
between 1836 and 1839. His son and uncle followed in ca. 1851. Has anyone
seen this 'wayward' gr.gr. grandpa, Nelson DUFF?
