Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - Goolesberry MEADOR
Here is my Goldrusher and he came to California in 1849 to find his fortune.
Here is what I know about him. Goolesberry MEADOR born 1824 died 30 January 1911
Lakeport, Lake Co, CA married Drucilla YOUNG born 1823 in MO to John YOUNG and
Sarah HOPPER. Drucilla died 2 September 1903 Lakeport, Lake Co, CA. Goolesberry
MEADOR came to the Santa Clara County in 1849 to the mine fields in for 2 years
before returning to MO to gather his family. He returned to MO and then came
back out to Santa Clara Valley in 1857 in a wagon train for the second time. I
understand that there were four brothers that came out together the first time.
Two came to Santa Clara County and the other two went to Lake County.
Goolesberry MEADOR and Drucilla YOUNG had two known children; 1)Henryetta MEADOR
born 12 March 1860 in MO married Thomas PATTEN who was born 1862 in Napa Co, CA
and died 1964 Lakeport, CA. They had one known child; Burdetta W. PATTEN born 19
March 1895 in Lake Co, CA married June Lorena CLENDENIN 21 December 1917. June
was the daughter of Luther P. CLENDENIN and Polly Jane. They had one known
child; Donlee B. PATTEN born 29 August 1925 in Lake Port, CA married Mary S.
COCHRAN 21 December 1958. 2) Goolesberry MEADOR, Jr. born 18 December 1849 in
Missouri, died 10 March 1920 in San Jose, Santa Clara Co, CA married Claireabell
BUSH born April 19, 1848 in New York and died April 4, 1924 in San Jose, CA.
They had one known child: Ella Marie MEADOR born October 3, ca 1878 in San Jose,
CA and died 1917 in San Jose, CA. Ella married Charles Henry WALTER of Berryessa,
Santa Clara Co, CA born 19 July 1875 died 7 February 1949 in San Jose, Santa
Clara Co, CA. The had one child. Ina Claire WALTER born 14 November 1901 in
Berryessa, Santa Clara Co, CA died 29 June 1993 in Woodland, Yolo Co, CA married
Harry PFAU and had one son Walter Fred PFAU 22 August 1922 San Jose, Santa Clara
Co, CA Ina then married Roy HOLMAN 29 January 1923 in Salinas, CA.
