Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - SENGER

Looking for Jacob SENGER, German, born 1830 in Drachenbronn, Alsace. Came to New York in 1845 with parents and settled in Illinois. Soon after, 1847/48, Jacob left for California and Placerville according to two grandaughters who gave me this information. He was an excellent blacksmith. He mined for gold in and around Placerville and some years later, returned to Illinois; married and returned to California, Trinity County in the early 60's. He and his wife had 17 children, I found 15 and I wrote a bio (tome) about the family. A copy of the bio is in the Jack Jackson museum in Weaverville, Trinity County, Ca. It is written in German, Latin, French and German Script, all translated. His first visit to California is the missing link for the bio.
