Subject: CA-GOLDRUSH-L Most Wanted James Calvin JARNAGIN

My Great-Great-Grandpa James Calvin JARNAGIN & his brother Thomas JARNAGIN were in Tuolumne Co. CA during the "Gold Rush". They joined a group of Arkansas gold seekers known as the "Clarksville Company". The "Clarksville Company" entered California late in October 1849. James Calvin JARNAGIN resided in Sonora till 1869 when he returned home to Arkansas for a visit. He married Matilda Caroline SIMPSON-PITTMAN in 1870 and remained in Arkansas the rest of his life. His son Thomas Clark JARNAGIN moved his family to Fresno Co. CA about 1922 where he remained till his death in 1936. I am interested in information about the life of James Calvin JARNAGIN when he was out in California during the "Gold Rush".
