Subject: [CA-GOLDRUSH-L] Most Wanted: James H. TRIBBLE//TRIBLE
James H. TRIBBLE (TRIBLE) left his family in Shelby Co., TX in 1852 to go to California for gold. His wife and 3 boys were left behind. Family letters written in 1856 reported that James claimed to have accumulated $10,000 and resided in Bute (Butte), CA. He never returned to his family in TX. Anyone recognize this surname?
