Subject: Goldrush Most Wanted - James RICKARD
Looking for any information on James RICKARD or any of his family. He was born
Camborne, Cornwall, 1856, came to the US about 1870, age 14, and was in New
Almaden CA in 1885, where he married and had three sons. They moved to Nevada
County about 1900, where he stayed most of the rest of his life, dying in 1930
in Downieville. I would like to hear from anybody looking for RICKARD in/from
Camborne. This is my "brick wall", as James' son listed James' parents as
"unknown" on his death cert. James was my ggrandfather.
4/22/00 I just found a woman whose great-grandfather was James' brother! His
name was Thomas and was born in 1852. We are trying to get a death certificate
for Thomas and hope it will list their parents' names!!! Thomas lived and died
in British Columbia. We don't know why the brothers lived so far apart. Thanks
for your help!! Jan Davis
