James Thomas GRADY born in San Francisco, CA 12/24/1848. He is the son of James
Henry & Mary Dolly GRADY who arrived from Panama on the Bark Eugenia on November
13, 1848. James, Sr. & Mary GRADY then had 7 other children all born in San
Francisco, CA. The family spent some time (1856 to 1863/64)in Tuolumne Co. James
Thomas GRADY is listed in the San Francisco City Directories as living on Lewis
St., Folsom St., Clementine St. and Moss St. either with his family or very near
by from 1863(age 14) through 1892. In 1881-82 he is listed as living in Oakland,
CA (but working in San Francisco). He had a brother Theodore GRADY who was 12
years younger than he, who was living in Oakland at this same time. James Thomas
GRADY is listed on the 1872 Great Register, San Francisco County. James Thomas
GRADY was married to Kate HAGEN on July 11, 1868. Kate died March 4, 1870
according to the San Francisco Call database. James Thomas GRADY is listed as
being a boilermaker working for Risdon Iron and Loc. Works, San Francisco, CA. I
sure would love to find out the date and location of his death! Thanks very much
