Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - Jesse KING
I am looking for Jesse KING and William H. HOOD in 1850. Jesse was from Pike
Co., GA. and returned to Brooks Co., Ga. by 1860. Family tradition states that
Jesse along with his sister's husband William H. HOOD may have been among the
men who left Ga. and went to the gold fields of Ca. William H. HOOD was also
from Pike Co., Ga. and by 1860 was back in Ga. living in Lowndes Co., Ga.
Although the two men return to Ga., the reason I would like to find them in 1850
is just to have proof that the men actually were in CA and that this is just not
a family folk tale.
