Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - HAAS
HAAS, John & Mary: Living in Brooklyn, Alameda County in 1852. I don't know for
certain what year they arrived, but their daughter, Annie HAAS was born in
California in 1852 according to the 1860 & 1870 census. Son: HAAS, Jacob was
married in 1874 to Agnes DRUMMOND in the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church. He died
in San Joaquin County in 1886. He is the son of John and Mary HAAS, born in
Pennsylvania in 1846. He came here with his family before 1852 when his sister
was born in California. He served in the Civil War according to family legend
and I believe I have located his records and war pension application.
