Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - John TURNER
John TURNER, his wife, Mary BOTFIELD, and some of their children and spouses
left Ohio for California in 1849. Among them, their son James TURNER, daughter
Mary Ellen TURNER FARMAN and my gggrandmother, Rebecca TURNER GRAYLESS , her
husband Charles and their three children. Rebecca died on the trail. Supposedly
by Placerville, Ca but no known tombstone has been found. Charles and the
children returned to Ohio. John ended up at Turner Station in San Joaquin Co.
Does anyone know how I can find out which wagon trail that they traveled with
and was Turner Station originally a stage coach station?
