Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - John Wesley RICHARDS
I am seeking information on my 3g-grandfather, John Wesley RICHARDS. He was born
abt. 1810 in KY and married Drusilla McCABE in Shelby Co., OH in 1834. He is
listed on the Shelby Co., OH census in 1850, but in 1860 his wife, Drusilla is
remarried to Solomon OSBORN (married August 1853). I received a copy of a
listing in a Shelby Co., OH newspaper of "residents of Shelby County who went to
California since the gold excitement of 1849". I believe that my 3g-grandfather
is listed under the name of Wesley RICHARDS. It also notes that he went in 1850
and died in California. Any help or records would be greatly appreciated.
