I am searching for Nicolasa HERRARAS (Garcia), born 1816 in Tubac AZ. Died 1900
in Madera CA. Geronimo OROSCO, husband of Nicolasa, last heard of in Tubac AZ.
Nicolasa HERRARAS traveled overland in the early 1840's from Tubac AZ to
Hornitos CA. In a mining town outside of Mariposa she settled down. She had
several children who accompanied her. Her daughter Raphaela, married my Great
Grandfather Ralph Wood BARCROFT. They had 8 children: Raphael, Fred, Louise,
David, Mary Caroline and my grandfather Joseph Zolio BARCROFT. "harriet sturk" (

of Bessie Collins Thorn of Mariposa CA. Bessie was my grandmother's sister and
