Hi - I went to the CA Goldrush page I suppose and there were posts there asking
about relatives...My husbands RAYNER bros went to CA to find gold ca.1850 and
came in ship from Eng around the Horn and finally to San Francisco to
dock....and stayed in that area (Sonoma Co, San Diego Co, Los Angeles Co ) and I
do not know if they got claims or not (not yet at least) but then some family
remained there for years and years and some cousins still around that we do not
know in that same area. My husbands g grandfather had a place in Carlsbad while
I guess some children stayed in that area and some were in Compton, CA.
