Subject: lost gold rush relative - KING
Looking for death records or any other information concerning my great
grandfather, Samuel KING (Senior perhaps). He came with his family from Atchison
County, Missouri via Colorado to Montana in 1864-65. A family writeup says:
"Samuel & another man built a brewery in Bozeman, MT in 1873. They operated it
one year. Word was received a Big Gold Strike in CA. Samuel left his family to
go to Sacramento, CA to go to the Gold Fields. He was killed and buried there."
