Subject: [CA-GOLDRUSH] Most Wanted: Thomas H. SIMMONS
I am seeking Thomas H. SIMMONS who arrived in CA in 1852. I found him in Amador
Co in 1900. He was born in WI, Dec 1849. I am trying to find him with his
parents. Family lore says he was on a wagon train at the age of 2. There was
even talk of Indians. His parents were supposed to be George and Louise. I have
looked at enough census to make my head swim. I am trying to use some kind of
logic. How do you find out which train people were on? Thanks for any help you
can give. I had almost given up on this side of my family because I live so far
away. These mailing lists have me hopeful once again. I am learning so much.
