Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - WILLIAM PRICE
WILLIAM PRICE was born in Ravenna Portage, OH July 10, 1826. March 4, 1849 he was united in marriage to CALISTA CORBETT. In 1849 they were living in Knox Co., IL. Later in 1849 William accompanied his brother, Ebenezer Price, to the California gold fields, leaving his young wife who was pregnant with their first child. Family tradition has him leaving California for home in Knox, County, IL around Sept. of 1850. He was never seen again. William & Calista's young daughter, OLIVE ELIZABETH PRICE, grew to adulthood and married SOLOMON PORTER STRONG. They had at least three children, FLOYD STRONG, CORA STRONG & EDITH STRONG between the years 1875-1890. I'm posting to this site in case any descendents of William exist and might either be looking for info on him or know and will share info regarding him. BERT BAILEY & CLINTON WALDORF are two names that might be connected to EDITH & CORA, respectively.
